I purchased this book on the 10th of October, even though I was in the middle of "box set". I had been asked if I might want to read it, because some of what I books I had posted reviews on in the past lead them to believe this would be right up my alley (so to speak). My interest was a bit piqued because it was a sci fi / paranormal genre with a romance thrown in, that included a strong female character (Rowan).Rowan, a human, was a fighter; a newly graduated scientist and a strong female that many women can identify with.
Sydan was an alien, a soldier, oh and a prince of his race. See two strong characters right out of the box that make this book interesting.
This is a love story between Rowan and Sydan as well as a ray of hope that we can all get along and live in "harmony" if we work towards that goal. Sometimes we really need to let go of what we "know" as real life and allow ourselves to believe in things we can't see.
Things we are told "can't happen" are sometimes the things that make us believe that all things are possible.
At times I was a little "thrown" by some of the grammar / proper word choice mistakes but I was thinking it could have been because of the alien / human interaction, so I skipped on over it. Even with those "distractions" as well as some editing misses, it was a fast read for those who enjoy sci-fi / paranormal genre.

Rowan goes through a lot in a very short amount of time. From student to surviving a planetary attack, to finding out she's the mate of an alien, to transforming her DNA (along with a few other modifications), to being a Princess and a mom. The fact that she handles everything with such ease made her a little unrelateable. Don't get me wrong, she does have emotions and sometimes they are fierce, but overall she just kind of accepts the hand she's dealt and moves forward.
Sydan never expected to find his mate on Earth, but one touch and they both end up with the mark stating it's truth. He struggles a little with fearing rejection, but he's a sweet, sexy, warrior winged Prince...what more could an Earth girl want?!

Sydan Galactic Guardians navigates the borderline between peace and war amongst alien beings. It will bring you into the depths of the Varikan people and how they and their world differs from ours.
Everything between Rowan and Sydan happens very quickly and then they are thrown into chaos. Deceit, betrayal, and family secrets fill the pages alongside love, faith, and hot alien sex.
There are several parts that seemed to lack depth and therefore it had a difficult time holding my attention, but simple curiosity kept me turning the pages.
Downloaded from KU. I'm a little unbalanced by this story, I am used to the H being an Alpha and Prince Sydan is a tad too sweet for my liking. There wasn't much tension or plot for the first half of this book. The H went to Earth, saw the h, helped her when she got herself in trouble and then found out that they are mates. She easily accepted him and they lived happily ever after .. sort of. The story only progressed after the halfway marked when some tension was build up. I had to stop reading the book a few times, it didn't engaged me wholeheartedly, it didn't grip me from the get go. It wasn't a bad story, it was just meh. If there's a 2nd book will I read it? Yes, if it is on KU but I do hope the new H will be more Alpha than Prince Sydan.
Oh great. Alians speak Finnish! I didn't see that one coming. It was quite annoying and I couldn't read but first few chapters. If you understand Finnish, this is eather really funny or really irritating. For me, it was too much.
I enjoyed reading this book. She really lets her characters flow well together. I would like to have gotten to know the main characters just a little bit more.
A lot of good world building and characterization. There were some places that the pace stumbled and the author slipped more into telling instead of showing but overall it was a fun and entertaining read. I look forward to the next.
I really enjoyed this story. The author did a good job of describing the different characters and worlds. I felt as if I could visualize it easily.
It is a book that makes you feel good about all different races and worlds learning to live in peace. And it is a wonderful fantasy romance. I want what she has!
My only problem is with the auto editing. There are way too many grammer and word errors and it distracts from the ease of reading it. It becomes annoying. Use a real human to edit please.
This story is so exciting it will keep you glued to the pages. The characters are unique and awesome.
The earth has been attacked by evil bug like aliens. While out hunting for food Rowan is attacked by the creatures. Then a group of winged Alien soldiers showed up and saved her and the surviving humans. Rowan was hurt so one of the winged soldiers named Sydan tended her, but when they touched something odd happened Sydan showed up with strange tattoos on his face. When he gets her to his spacecraft Rowan learns she has the tattoos to!. She also learns Sydan is the Prince of his planet. The ships healer explains the tattoos mean Rowan and Sydan are fated mates.
You will love this exciting, suspenseful, funny, sweet and steamy hot romance!. This is a 5-star book!.
